HAPPY NEW YEAR 2004!

24 January 2004 by The Sharp Things

Yes, yes, we know 2004 is three weeks old already. Time flies!
The members of The Sharp Things have kept busy throughout the holiday season, recording their second album—the follow-up to Here Comes The Sharp Things their critically acclaimed debut CD. As yet untitled, the 15-song opus features such longtime concert faves as “50 Heads Over High Street,” “I Will Always be Your Loser Honey” and “Love With A Proper Stranger,” as well as brand-new numbers like “Homeless,” “All Around Me Now” and “The Suicide Bombers.”
We can’t reveal much now, but suffice to say, our fans will be surprised! To see how things are going, check our studio diary—progress reports are posted regularly.
Meanwhile, a year after its release, Here Comes The Sharp Things continues to garner rave reviews around the world:
“In the grand tradition of Randy Newman and Van Dyke Parks, The Sharp Things are a baroque pop lover’s dream come true,” writes Jason Jackowiak in Splendid. “Pain has never sounded so beautiful,” observes Matt Hersh of Indie-Music.com, while in High Bias, Michael Toland calls Here Comes… “beautifully, melodiously devastating.” We’re blushing!
More big news—really big news—to come, so be sure to check back soon.
