Just confirmed! Robert Duffy of top music blog Donewaiting.com has invited The Sharp Things to perform in the Donewaiting.com showcase at the NEMO Music Festival in Boston on Saturday, Sept. 30.
We’ll be performing at The Paradise Lounge, a first-class, intimate venue that since 2002 has hosted shows by The Wallflowers, The Flaming Lips, The White Stripes and many more.
Also confirmed for the 9/30 show is Eric Metronome, a solo artist who’s gained attention by recording a new cover song every week for the entire year of 2006 and posting them online.
Charging into its tenth year, the NEMO Music Festival is one of North America’s premier music industry events. NEMO is three days of music, featuring over 300 artist showcases, two full days of panels, workshops, clinics and a music industry trade show.
Almost 3,000 people attend the NEMO Conference: Panelists include major label representatives, managers, publishers, retailers, artists, booking agents, and much more. When the sun sets, bands take stages at over 30 of the best clubs in and around Boston, reminding industry insiders and music fans (almost 140,000 of them) what NEMO is really about; playing and hearing great music.
Bob Duffy has been a big supporter of the Sharpies for a long time, and we are psyched to be invited to play. Check back for more details on what promises to be an exciting show!
