THREE CHEERS...

9 February 2005 by The Sharp Things

...for Bar/None Records, the venerable indie that has just agreed to release the Sharp Things’ second album in the United States. A May 10 release date has been set for the CD, which is entitled Foxes and Hounds and includes 15 new songs. Founded in 1986, the Hoboken-based Bar/None has been home to dozens of our favorite artists over the years, among them Tindersticks, Divine Comedy, Arto Lindsay, They Might Be Giants, Esquivel and Yo La Tengo. We’re honored to join such an auspicious roster. Shout-outs to Glenn, Mark, Rob and all the Bar/None crew for giving the Sharpies a leg up.

FINISHING TOUCHES: TST returns to Quad Studios this Sunday, February 13, to re-record portions of “The Suicide Bombers.” We also hope to swing by Dubway Studio soon to drop off “There Will Be Violins” for a remix by Al Houghton. Once that’s done, the record will be ready for mastering. It won’t be long now before new Sharp Things music is in your hands, dear fans.
